Dates & Deadlines

Louisiana Teaching Fellows are outstanding individuals like you—recent graduates, engineers, management executives, community leaders, and retirees—who have decided to change their lives and teach in the classrooms that need high-quality educators most. Apply today to be considered for this selective network of dedicated new teachers, teaching in either Shreveport or Greater Baton Rouge. We offer three application deadlines for the Louisiana Teaching Fellows program. Because of the competitive nature of the program and the limited number of spaces, we recommend that candidates apply early.

Next Application Deadline: March 15, 2010

Next Praxis II Registration Deadline: March 25, 2010

Next Praxis II Late Registration Deadline*: April 1, 2010

Next Praxis II Test Date: April 24, 2010

Summer Institute Begins: June 3, 2010 (tentative date)

*Note that there is an additional fee for the late Praxis II registration date. Please be sure to review the Testing Requirements page for detailed information on exam requirements and registration deadlines.
